While
more purely artistic forms of photography
are my real passion, I deeply enjoy photojournalism
work as well. I experience a rush of excitement
everytime I go out on assignment. I seem to
revel in the knowledge that there can be no
retakes, that the event has to be captured
artfully and skillfully the first time. In
a lot of ways I think my work as a photojournalist
has improved my photography in ways that no
other type of photographic work really can. |

President Clinton Profile
Gallery:
Journalism
Information: Another shot
of clinton that I am partial to for a couple
of reasons. First, his speech is visible folded
up and tucked in his back pocket, and second,
just as I pressed the shutter to capture this
image another photographer commented on how
much trimmer and healthier the former president
was looking than the last time he had seen
him. |

Dennis Kucinich, Political Underdog
Gallery:
Journalism
Information: Dennis Kucinich
was the definite underdog in the contest to
receive the democratic nomination. Despite
this he was the last candidate to cede the
victory to Kerry because he wanted to make
sure that his opinions were heard by as many
people as possible. |
