quite so beautifully detailed as the human
eye. The subtle variances of color, form,
and pattern make for a beautiful image, but
it can be difficult to isolate the eye as
the subject of the image. In order to draw
attention to such details I removed all of
the color from the image except in the area
of the iris. |

difficult and rewarding aspects of photography
is manipulating light to achieve a certain
look. In this particular photograph I placed
a small rubber toy on top of a piece of thick
plastic and lit it with a bright light from
beneath. The light diffused up through the
plastic and resulted in the image you see
here. |
